We are excited to get back into the gym after an abrupt end to last year’s season. With COVID and the restrictions resulting from the pandemic, this year is going to look a little different for our athletes.
We will be following Ontario Basketballs Return to Play (Stage 3) guidelines (https://basketball.on.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/OBA-RTP-Phase-3-V2-092120.pdf) and guidelines from the Ministry of Health. We want our kids to get back to the sport they love in the safest way possible. We have developed a Spartans COVID-19 Safety Protocol. Your coach will go over these with you at practice. While we wait for the Health Unit to review our protocols we ask players to wear a mask for the duration of the first training session on September 27th.
That all being said, this year we will require each parent to sign the OBA COVID Waiver at or before the first practice on September 27. If this is not completed, your child will not be able to participate.
In addition to this waiver, we will require each parent/player to complete the following attestation BEFORE arriving at each session each Sunday:

We are finalizing the budget for the training sessions; however, the cost will be approximately $15/child per session and can be paid in October. The schedule for teams will be as follows for the first 3 weeks, and may change from week to week, depending on gym and coach availability.
